ALTR Synthesizes a 3.99 Carat Fancy Orangy Pink Pink Diamond

ALTR Created Diamonds, the synthetic diamond dealer owned by R.A. Riam Group, announced last week that they had successfully synthesized a 3.99ct pink diamond called “The Pink Rose”.  It is said that this is currently the world's largest synthetic pink diamond, priced at about 110,000 US dollars, while natural diamonds of the same size and color grade are priced more than 1 million US dollars.

“The Pink Rose” pink diamond was synthesized by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) using Asscher Cut. It is graded Fancy Orangy Pink by GCAL, and its clarity is VS2. level.

Amish Shah, president of “ALTR Created Diamonds”, said that it is difficult to achieve the bright colors of natural pink diamonds by using ordinary HPHT synthetic pink diamonds. The synthesized hue is closer to dark raspberry. Using through chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to synthetic diamonds can achieve better color levels, but it is also cost more.
